Welcome to the TilapiaMap Project Website
The TilapiaMap project has transitioned to recording observations on iNaturalist. Anyone can record any wildlife observation on the open source, free software. iNautralist uses ‘computer vision’ to help identification to suggest what your observation might be, and you can get feedback from scientists, experts and other naturalists and enthusiasts. iNautralist is available as a mobile app so that you can observe any plant or animal any time, place and is available via google play or app store.
Data collected during the TilapiaMap project can be accessed free of charge for search and download via the Global Biodiversity Information Facility.
If you are interested in getting involved and you would like more information or have East African cichlid data you would like to share, contact Professor George Turner or join the Wild Tilapia Facebook group.
